Hybrid facilitation. What is it really?

The invincible combination
Born as a digital platform to substitute the physical classroom, Hybrid Learning brings new aspects to learning. It adds an immersed and diverse learning experience, making it superior and much more than simply a solution to a problem.

RETHINK LEARNING
Born as a digital platform to substitute the physical classroom, Hybrid Learning brings new aspects to learning.
Hybrid Learning adds an immersed and diverse learning experience, making it superior and much more than simply a solution to a problem.
Tobegin is well known as a trail blazer in finding new ways to spread knowledge, in this case creating a progressive way to educate with students, lecturer and location varying and often spaced far apart.
The result became Hybrid Learning. The setup is easy and the benefits are multiple.
SOME OF THE BENEFITS
From one to two – The old one voice, talking in one location, with one whiteboard. To instead – a learning group attending physically or digitally listening to two active voices, both giving input and instructions. One voice present in the room, the other through a video-meeting solution.
The learning space – Using best aspects of both class-room and digital meeting, a new space-think evolves. Multiple ways of learning and dynamic group interaction are used, taking students outside the normal, static and traditional class-room.
Back to basics – We remove the nominal 100-slide presentation and the square white board. Instead we bring back […drum-roll…] the Book, as our learning platform. Tangible learning at its best. On the same track we utilize the walls for a merged and graphical time- & progression-line.
SUCCESS FACTORS EASILY RECOGNIZED
Small groups.
To facilitate shared learning and reflections openly.
Two facilitator setup.
One room-present and one digital-present, one managing the in-room activities, one managing the on-screen-activities.
Multiple short breaks.
Promotes reflection, thought digestion and free inspiration.
Include.
Include everyone and everything; everyone in the room, the physical in the digital, the digital in the physical.

A round check in
Participants gathering in a reflection ring. One facilitator is physically present in the room and the other is defining the conversation with the help of a screen.

Screen to wall
The digital facilitator Charlotta (Tobegin) has just shared a change model and the physical facilitator Ida (Media Evolution) repeats it and writes it on the wall.

A common ground
The book Bästa Modellen2 serves as an effective common ground for further conversations about change. Group tasks are done either around a table or via Break out rooms in Zoom.

Sharing
The digital facilitator Charlotta is communicating an assignment and the physical facilitator is doing a visual documentation with the help of a long white board wall.
